The inspiration for "Surf Community Afloat" came during my visits to Waikiki Beach. There's something profoundly unique about this place; it's a blend of locals and visitors, all united by the waves. I wanted my artwork to reflect this unspoken camaraderie, the way the beach brings together people from different walks of life to share in the joy of surfing.

Creating this piece was a journey of capturing the nuances of both the individual and collective experiences of surfers. It was important for me to show how the ocean can be a solitary retreat and a social gathering spot simultaneously. This duality is what makes surfing—especially at Waikiki Beach—so enchantingly special.
